Siliguri To Gangtok
Book a cab or catch a bus from Gangtok to Siliguri. Just keep one thing in your mind, start your journey in the early morning to avoid the rush or jams. When you reached Gangtok, there are many beautiful places to explore like restaurants, bars, casinos, and shopping markets. Some of the most popular shopping market in Gangtok is MG Marg Market that looks like a foreign European city. The nightlife in Gangtok is amazing. So it’s time to refresh yourself in Gangtok and create unforgettable memories with the one you love the most.
Gangtok To Lachen
The next morning, book a cab for Lachen, which is 104 km far away from Gangtok. It takes a maximum of 4 hours to reach in Lachen. On your way, you will see lots of waterfalls, Teesta River, beautiful hill views and many other mesmerizing things. It is difficult to cover everything in north Sikkim at just one day because there are many other tourist attractions. So I have decided to visit only the most famous spots in Sikkim.
Lachen To Gurudongmar Lake
This small village located in north Sikkim and it is known as Lachenpas who is the Sikkimese Buddhist Community. In this small village, there are a lot of local small shops and a few hotels for tourists. Here the temperature goes down to -3° maximum in winters and in summers the temperature is normal. Do you know? Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in India which is very close to the India China border and needs special permission to proceed through. Because of low oxygen, high wind velocity or freezing temperature, I suggested that not to stay at Gurudongmar Lake. You may have breathing problems so it’s better to leave in the evening. On the way to Gurudongmar Lake, you will see waterfalls, hills covered with beautiful white snow and zigzag path.
Lachung To Zero Point Via Yumthang Valley
It is one of the most beautiful places in Sikkim is Lachung and zero points. It is like you are in the valleys of Switzerland. Zero-point is just 13-15km far away from Yumthang valley. Before going to Yumthang valley, do explore the zero point. A lot of things you can watch here like boys and girls playing with snowballs, snow Drapped Mountains and rivers with crystal clear water that you will remember a lifetime. So don’t miss these things during your entire journey. When you started your journey for Yumthang valley, the road is covered with snow and lots of waterfalls on your way. At Yumthang valley it is the possibility to encounter heavy snowfall which you definitely don’t want to miss. For nature lovers, it is the best place to do photography and feel the peace in yourself.
Every spring it looks more colorful because the entire valley is covered with different colors of flowers and the greenery make it a great tourist attraction. Freezing temperature, romantic weather, rising altitude, never-ending twists and turns, the perfect destination for honeymooners. Don’t forget to try its local street food that has its own specialty.
